De Ballyburn, he added, “Probably just didn’t skimp on the day well and I would say there will be a lot of thought to make a blow again next season.
“We know that the obstacles jump fantastically and there may be a gap in the obstacle division for him.”

Kopek des Bordes delivered his undefeated record when Stablemate Iranchy took home a two-three four for Willie Mullins at the KPMG Hurdle Novice champion in Punchestown.
Kopek Des Bordes looked like a star in successive victories in Leopardstown with a chance of probabilities in the Novices Supreme obstacle in Cheltenham last month and was a 30-100 market leader to complete a perfect season with another win in Kildare County.
However, a couple of incomplete jumps during the first stages made the tone for a disappointing display and was a spent force for the house.
After being mounted more conservative, the 18-1 firing Irancy came to the scene traveling heavily under Mark Walsh and left the final flight to score for nine lengths, with Karbau’s Salvatori Boxing Salvatori Boxing to the third and Kopek des Bordes a well-beaten quarter.

Mullins said, “We took the whole Salvator Mundi team today and worked until what was referring to his leap, but he was just running too fast and couldn’t keep that. Paul, knowing how good the Salvador Mundi is, he couldn’t let him go.
“Irancy was always a good horse and found a setback after winning here earlier of the season, but it may have been the best thing that had happened when it came here fresh.
“I gave Kopek Des Borders a good break after Cheltenham and probably gave him too much and should have taken him somewhere like Ayr or Perth!
“Looking at it in the parade ring, I thought I was carrying too many conditions and showing today.”
