Pink and blue bats are usually reserved for mother’s and father’s day in the main leaguesBut Monday marked the exception.
Philadelphia Phillies Outfielder Bryce Harper He expects his fourth child later this year, and he wanted to bring a gender to the field.
So, he ordered two bats, one pink and one blue, and asked his teammate, a short header of Trea Turner, to break the big news.

“He asked me earlier today to help him in discovering sex. At first I was confused, but I think he wanted to share that moment with us, and I think it was pretty cool,” Turner said after the game.
But Turner did not want to get this opportunity and make it easier for Harper.
“I messed up with him a little in the excavation. I picked up pink, he swung a little,” Turner said. “He thought he had a girlfriend.”
But Harper came on a plate with a blue bat.
“He was pretty happy.”

“He was beautiful enough to ask me to do it. I thought it was a nice moment for him and his family. A pretty cool, pretty special day,” Turner added.
Turner and Harper were also teammates in Washington, DC with nationals Before Harper headed for Philly. Turner signed with NATS at an 11-year contract of $ 300 million before the 2023 season after a short stay with Los Angeles Dodgers.
Harper ended up hitting a bat, and Phillies lost, 10-4, to the red-and-tie San Francisco Giants, so it wasn’t all fun at the Citizens Bank on Monday.
