New York Jets Quarterback Jordan TravisA fifth round selection in 2024, the team informed Wednesday that it is being retired.

Travis, 24, cited the continuous complications of a left leg injury suffered during his last party in the state of Florida.

“On November 18, 2023, my life took an unexpected turn,” Travis said in a statement. “I gave everything I had to the rehabilitation process, but despite all my efforts, my leg never answered the way we expected. After a lot of prayer and consulting with the doctors, medical experts and my agent, I was medically advised to retire from the game I love so deeply.”

Jets said Travis will be placed on the reservoirs/retirees list.

“Jordan informed us of his intention to retire due to the injury he suffered while in the state of Florida,” Jets general said Darren Mougey, in a statement. “It is unfortunate that you were not able to go back to the field after working so hard. We support your decision and wish you only the best.”
